editHello, I'm Hgilbert. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Moca, Puerto Rico because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Hello, I'm Jianhui67. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Alejandro García Padilla without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! File permission problem with File:Election results map.png
editThanks for uploading File:Election results map.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SuperMarioMan 18:57, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Municipality of San Juan.jpeg
editThank you for uploading File:Municipality of San Juan.jpeg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. Hi Floquenbeam , Obviously i noted that you blocked me for being insisting and passionate about a certain subject which you already know (If you still remember). First of all i would like to apologize to you and to anyone whom i may have offended in anyway, i must admit that i had an attitude problem which was not professional nor mature in any way, that's totally my bad. However, i think it is a little unfair that i was blocked for being insisting just like user Mercy11 whom kept taking away the "U.S." suffix from the governors birthplace. Puerto Rico may feel like it is a country in a symbolical way, but Wikipedia should provide legal and political information, not symbolical. Obviously me and Mercy11 are not going to achieve a consensus, he wants to provide symbolical information while i want to provide legal information. I want to have a deal with you Floquenbeam, since you're a third party then you should be the one to determine wether the "U.S." suffix should be incorporated in the governors birthplace. regardless of your determination i promise that i will fully respect your decision and simply turn the page. I suspect that you probably don't know much about Puerto Rico, which is why i recommend that you do a research of your own. But before you do your research let me mention you some facts about Puerto Rico: Puerto Rico has been a U.S. territory since 1898 after the Spanish-American war, with the Jones Act (1917) every person born in Puerto Rico is a natural born U.S. citizen, and Puerto Rico has been a U.S. Commonwealth since 1952. Puerto Rico because of the Cabotage Law cannot buy products from other countries, everything must be shipped through the U.S. port of Jacksonville in the state of Florida. Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth just like the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or Virginia (even though they're in the mainland and are more recognizable). The last time Puerto Rico was an independent country it was in 1492 before Christopher Columbus and the Spanish colonist took possession of the Archipelago of Puerto Rico. I think i have talked too much and maybe bored you with my speech, but because of everything that i mentioned to you is why i think that the "U.S." suffix should be in the birthplace of every governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Like i said, you have my word that i will respect your final decision in terms of wether the "U.S." suffix should be there or not. You're the ideal person because you're neutral in the subject, thanks for your time and sorry about my immaturity. (Jbabylon91 (talk) 21:59, 25 June 2014 (UTC))
