SATA Express section

edit

Hello there! I've just reverted your edit on the SATA Express section in Serial ATA article, so please allow me to explain.

Basically, your edit was repeating a lot of information that's already available in the main article, SATA Express. That's why the section is short and serves only as a brief introduction, in order to avoid repeating a lot of details from the main article. At the same time, there were some incorrect facts in your edit, like having up to two PCIe lanes (where it can go up to four), somehow incorrect description of the used connectors etc.

Hope you agree. -- Dsimic (talk) 23:22, 8 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Just as an additional note, links to other Wikipedia articles can't be used for providing inline references. -- Dsimic (talk) 23:42, 8 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
Went ahead and edited / extended both Serial ATA and SATA Express articles, so they now include some of the additions from your edit. Please, check it out. -- Dsimic (talk) 01:19, 9 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising again, as you did at Nitero, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Coffee // have a cup // beans // 18:44, 4 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for providing this warning. I work with a PR firm that represents Nitero and we are looking to set up a neutral company profile. I will remove all promotional language from the page and resubmit for review. Jbalich (talk) 19:08, 4 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Would you be willing to review the revised Nitero Wikipedia entry before I attempt to re-create the page? Jbalich (talk) 21:58, 4 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, Jbalich. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Nitero, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Avono♂ (talk) 18:58, 6 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

edit

hello jbalich,

your article about RF energy alliance need some more clean up.please add more categories to make the article easy to understand for the readers and if you need any help please let me know ..good work :) welcome to wikipedia. Nicky mathew (talk) 10:04, 21 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thanks for reviewing the page and offering your help. Please note, I work for a PR Agency on behalf of the RF Energy Alliance and wanted to create a page with unbiased information about the organization. I’ve recently review Wikipedia’s policies and guidelines for editing/creating pages where a conflict of interest is present. I now understand that I’m discouraged from editing my client’s page and should ask for a neutral Wikipedian for assistance in creating the page. Would you be willing to review the information and ensure that the page is in compliance with Wikipedia’s guidelines? Or should I request an article to be written on the organization through articles for creation page? Thanks for your guidance here! Jbalich (talk) 00:23, 22 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Warning - you are going to lose your editing privileges if you do not comply with the Terms of Use

edit

You declared that you are a paid editor with regard to Nitero here. As a paid editor, you must disclose your employer, the client, and your affiliation someplace where people can see it - the article Talk page, your User page, etc. Again, please read WP:COI - especially the section: Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest#Wikimedia_Foundation_.28WMF.29_position.

You were given notice of this back in November in the "Managing a conflict of interest" section; I gave you notice of this again a few days later. This is a third warning. You haven't posted that disclosure with regard to Nitero anyplace clear, like your userpage or the article Talk page.

Please state whether or not your work on the RF Energy Alliance article is also paid editing.

Given that you have had plenty of notice, if you do not add this disclosure to the Nitero article Talk page, and if it is relevant to the RF Energy Alliance ‎ Talk page, and/or your User page, I will bring you to ANI, and you will be site banned. I'll wait until tomorrow to post there. Paid editing is allowed in WP but you must follow the Terms of Use. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 13:36, 21 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

I will work today to manage this conflict of interest on all pages I have edited. I apologize for the delay here. Thanks!Jbalich (talk) 16:52, 21 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
