Image Tagging Image:Caesars.jpg

edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Caesars.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Global warming

edit

Thanks for adding the fact tag. In fact that point is covered with the next one in http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v436/n7051/abs/nature03906.html at the end of the clause as far as I can see. Do you think we should cite it twice in ten words? Maybe but at least its there--BozMo talk 21:47, 11 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree with your tag in the causes section though. In the intro we can rely on substantiating later but in a main text section it definitely ought to be referenced. --BozMo talk 21:50, 11 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Music venues

edit

Hey there! I noticed you were doing category changes on some articles, which is great. Wanted to let you know, though, that only the most specific level one is necessary. That is, a music venue in Chicago only needs that category. It needn't have the Illinois one, or the United States one. I changed it on Chicago Theatre, if you wanna see what I mean. I know, now I tell you, huh? Still, hope it helps. I'm all about doing the minimum amount of work. Or the most work with the most efficient (and therefore least?) amount of effort. Anyway, keep the good work continuing, sir. Er, ma'am. Um, fellow carbon-based lifeform??? :) --Ebyabe 03:34, 14 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yep, I've seen it done a lot. Heck, when I first started, I did it a lot! You mightn't want to delete that list, though. Categories and lists serve different functions. There was a whole debate recently about actors-in-TV-series categories, which is resulting in most of those categories being deleted. It was decided that the information was better to listify. With a list, you can add details that you can't with just tagging an article with a category. The music venue thing is a bit different, but you can still have the category, and a separate list with details, maybe pictures, who knows? There is such a thing as featured list, just like there are featured articles. Hope you have fun! --Ebyabe 13:18, 14 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Proviso East High School, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. In the future, please look at the actual edits before assuming they are vandalism. I was actually removing vandalism, and your revert put it back. Jcc1 16:17, 26 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
