I've edited Wikipedia for over a couple decades (not with this personal account). I understand all of what you have posted. The person in question has passed away and is a fundamentally important person to the history of computer science and the web, W3C, and a wide variety of topics. (Really, I'm not over stating that the web would not have developed as it did without him creating standards like XML.) This is not a CV of a living person but an important listing of their works and public presentations. Yes, perhaps we could break those out into a separate page eventually, but it makes more sense to gather them on the page initially.
