Proposed deletion of Association négaWatt

edit

Hello, JeffMik1. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Association négaWatt, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Gaff ταλκ 08:10, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Granite campaign

edit

Hello Jeff- Could you please be more careful with your additions of granite-related info in articles? They tend to be placed with little or no context, and no offense, but though your English is good, it is not perfect and you are making work for us native speakers to clean it up. Eric talk 19:56, 10 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

You are right, I give up, sorry. But could you do me a favour, please: I'd like the French article Raz Blanchard to be translated into English (Race of Alderney). I translated it into German.--JeffMik1 (talk) 19:05, 12 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Eric talk 21:48, 12 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hello Eric,
  1. I'd prefer you to merge the Plain article into the Sainte-Mère-Eglise article, because it'll be better. Thank you for your understanding.
  2. I had already written other articles in English, more precisely Ried (natural region), Petit Ried, Grand Ried as well as Outre-Forêt. Could you please take a look at them?
  3. Thank you very much for your suggestion, which I accept. I don't want to disturb you. I can write a draught concerning the article Race of Alderney. But could you tell me where to store the article, because I don't know, actually? I'm in no hurry, I haven't written anything yet.
Thank you very much--JeffMik1 (talk) 19:10, 15 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi Jeff- I'll try to look at those articles when I get a chance. If you want to start one on the race, the title should be Alderney Race. As you are probably already aware, there is a large article on Alderney that mentions the race. Eric talk 20:09, 15 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi again Jeff- I feel guilty to say this, but the Plain article got deleted before I could copy the content. Is there any chance that you would have the text so I can incorporate it into the S-M-E article? Eric talk 01:58, 18 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

No problem. I hope the information is interesting for you. Thank you. --JeffMik1 (talk) 18:48, 19 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I made some edits and incorporated it into the S-M-E article. I decided to put it all under the heading Geography. Hope it looks right! Eric talk 22:47, 19 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Great! Thank you very much. I think the article Lac du Baggersee could be deleted, because most of the lakes in Alsace are called Baggersee as I wrote it in the article Petit_Ried. Thank you --JeffMik1 (talk) 10:45, 20 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

An update from the Sustainability Initiative

edit

Thank you for supporting the Sustainability Initiative!

Hi, JeffMik1! Thank you again for supporting the Sustainability Initiative, which aims at reducing the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement. Over the past two years, more than 200 Wikipedians from all over the world have come together to push the Wikimedia movement towards greater sustainability.

What's new?

We are writing you this message because there is great news: The Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation has finally passed a resolution stating that the Foundation is committed to seeking ways to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment. Also, we have created a cool logo and found a nice name for the project which you can see on the right :-)

What's next?

Currently, we are working with Wikimedia Foundation staff to make sustainability a key priority for the selection of a new location for Wikimedia servers in Singapore. Also, we have presented the Wikimedia Foundation with a green energy roadmap to have all Wikimedia servers run on renewable energy by 2019.

Please help!

Let's keep this project moving forward – and there are several ways in which you can help:

  • Ask other Wikipedians to sign the project page as well – this way we can show the Wikimedia Foundation that this is an issue that the community really cares about.
  • Talk to Wikimedians you know about the importance of reducing the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement.
  • Improve and translate the project page on Meta.

If you have any questions, you can contact us on on Meta. Again, thank you very much for your support! --Aubrey and Gnom (talk) 09:50, 9 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Centre de stockage de la Manche moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Centre de stockage de la Manche, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
