Read about sources

The problem with your Purdue U department page is that you do not have any third-party sources, and Wikipedia requires that most, if not all, sources on an article be third-party. You have referenced it all to the department or the university. Read wp:rs on reliable sources. Basically, a WP article is made up of what others have said about a subject, not what it says about itself. In that sense, it is somewhat like academic writing. Let me know if you have questions.
