Page Curation newsletter
Hey JetBlast. I'm dropping you a note because you used to (or still do!) patrol new pages. This is just to let you know that we've deployed and developed Page Curation, which augments and supersedes Special:NewPages - there are a lot of interesting new features :). There's some help documentation here if you want to familiarise yourself with the system and start using it. If you find any bugs or have requests for new features, let us know here. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 12:39, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- Impressive, Thanks for letting me know! --JetBlast (talk) 12:47, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
Unused fair use images
Hi! If a fair use image is unused, there is no need to start a deletion discussion. There is a semi-speedy tag which will lead to deletion after a week if the file remains unused. Just go to Twinkle's "DI" tag and select "orphaned fair use". Alternatively, do nothing: there is a bot which tags orphaned fair use files automatically once in a while. --Stefan2 (talk) 18:31, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, i didn't know. --JetBlast (talk) 18:32, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
Why change from Vector to JPG??
The vector was not near the actual SWA takeoff logo. You can fix the one that is their now if you would like but the old one just brought a false logo to the page. Kairportflier (talk) 19:39, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- It was identical to the .jpg. It took a long time to get someone to make that, making vector images is not easy. --JetBlast (talk) 19:42, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

Can you keep an eye on this article? User:FIRSTORIE has been making minor updates to the article but continue to remove the sources for new routes on that page. A couple of new services/resumptions on that page are not sourced and they need to be tagged a "Citation Needed". Thanks! Snoozlepet (talk) 05:50, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

Windows Server 2012 processor architecture
Hello, JetBlast
Your most recent edit summary suggest that perhaps you do not know this: There are many 32-bit and 64-bit CPU architecture around us. Example of 32-bit: IA-32, ARM, MIPS, etc. Example of 64-bit: x64, Itanium (IA-64), Itanium 2, etc.
MOS:COMPUTING has more on this matter.
Best regards,

Just thought about this again, the source is not good enough because it doesn't indicated that all the callsigns have been replaced with a single one. --JetBlast (talk) 20:21, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- As requested - It's there. And i don't see a need to remove it, as it is a fact that the callsigns changed. Easily to proof via LiveATC (which is not a forum, in case you don't know it). Listen to LAX for the next VOZ arrival, then you get the non-existance of VAU, or New Zealand for no more PBYs... Cheers mate --Voz410 (talk) 20:23, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- It is not evidence they have all been replaced with a single callsign. It is also not proof that the IATA & ICAO codes have been replaced. It isnt good enough. Until we have this evidence that is required on wikipedia please revert your changes. --JetBlast (talk) 20:27, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Edit to AirTran Airways
- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.
I reverted an edit you made to the fleet table of that article in which you removed info about them being the 717's launch customer. And you said that it was "policy" to not have that info and linked to Wikipedia:WikiProject Airlines/page content. (I know what part you're referring to.) That's a style guide, and is not a policy. In my opinion it's indeed encyclopedic to say that AirTran was the 717's launch customer. And the requirement for things to be encyclopedic is one of the five pillars, which we all know are the only rules on Wikipedia. The WikiProject style guide is important, but other policies are more important. And I've had issues with you over this part of the project guidelines before, so can we sort it out please? Thanks, Comp dude123 23:28, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
- "You have had issues" While you are taking this stance i find it hard to communicate with you. There is no need to be rude. I stick by the edits i have made, that kind of detail is not for the fleet table. We could start putting in all sorts of detials in there. It should be strictly fleet details only as its a fleet table. --JetBlast (talk) 23:32, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) It's a part of the guideline I don't agree with, so that's why I don't agree with your removals. A couple days ago, you edited Alaska Airlines and removed info about number of aircraft to be delivered and retired from the table citing the same policy. (Yes, I do recognize that you said the info was unsourced. While that was true about the # of ETOPS-configured planes, the deliveries/ retirements are sourced in ref 75.) Note that I didn't revert your edit in that instance. —Comp dude123 23:45, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
- Also, the content you removed is fleet details. —Comp dude123 23:45, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
- Being the launch customer of an aircraft has nothing to do with the individual fleet details of an airline --JetBlast (talk) 23:47, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
- How so? In my opinion being the "launch customer"
is definitely noteworthyhas everything to do with the individual fleet details of the airline. —Comp dude123 05:33, 31 October 2012 (UTC) - What about info such as "5 aircraft of Type X to be retired in 2013"? Why don't you consider that worthy of being put in the fleet table? I think it should be, and I think this even more so than info about launch customer. It is totally related to details about the fleet. How on earth could it not be? —Comp dude123 05:37, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Well the retirement stuff makes it sound like a plate spotters site. Anyway lets agree to disagree and not fallout? --JetBlast (talk) 17:43, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know of any plane-spotter sites that say stuff like "2 aircraft to be retired in 2013," etc. I'd rather agree to solve this and not shove it aside. —Comp dude123 21:37, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
- Well i wont change my mind, so best agree to disagree. --JetBlast (talk) 22:00, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
- Ok then, whatever. BTW would you care if this info was presented as prose; are you just objecting to the fact that it's in the table? —Comp dude123 22:15, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

US AirwaysI am very confused on the operations start date/year. The airline started operations in 1990 but an IP added that the airline started operations in 1983 as America West Airlines. Can you take a look? Thanks! Snoozlepet (talk) 18:41, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
User:Logan AirportIt was cited cited the KLM destinations as a source for KLM serving BOS during 2011-2012 on the stats table. However, on that page BO'S is terminated but there is no source for it. Can you do some research and see whether or not KLM flew to Boston in 2011? Thanks! Snoozlepet (talk) 19:12, 10 March 2013 (UTC) That's my apology. This whole thing confuses me. I truly have no clue. Ugh! What a mess I created. From what I HEARD (speculation), KLM flew for Northwest up to 2011, when it became Delta service. My error in this was I didn't read carefully and I thought that it was 2010 statistics, not 2011-2012. I apologize to all for my errors.
