Hi. I probably made that edit as part of a bulk update of beetle articles in order to correctly populate the new beetle-stub category, and thought it was above the threshold to be called a stub (it has a picture and more than just a sentence or two), but as you say most the article is a species list, so an argument could be made that Aphthona is a stub, certainly. The other option is to use the { { expand } } tag, which is for articles which are too big to be classed as stubs. I don't have a strong opinion either way. SP-KP 19:00, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Cool. Yes, that's exactly what I wanted, just to be informed. I uploaded the pictures so that they'd be used, and it makes me happy to know that they are. --woggly 20:24, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Kadisha Valley

edit

thank you for your edit but in many parts... it's horrific! 1- u do not seem to have a clue about the significance of this high lieu to the maronites especially (who coincidentally are not a mere sect) but a long established eastern church that is almost as old as eastern orthodoxy). 2- the valley and the cedar grove hold a particular symbolism that only Lebanese can truly appreciate, your edit and classification denatures it. 3-back to the maronites ... u unintentionally turned the focus in many passages off this community which gave the place its importance. 4- ure help is really graced and appreciated and i totally agree with you that some passages were so mystic, they do resemble segments from the lord of the rings 5-i'll discuss your changes with Lebanese wikipedians and i'm afraid many changes may be reverted thanks again.Elie plus (talk) 20:31, 12 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dear Elie, I think the article have a better balance now. The Qadisha valley is predominantly Maronite since around 1550 AD. We are proud that it sheltered many persecuted populations like Ethioptians, Armenians, Syrians, Turks, Palestenians... Those people received also Maronites when they were in difficulty many times in their History. We hope all that the Qadisha will always stay a refuge for all oppressed people. I'm really grateful for Jhml for his nice contribution, as well as yours. Maronites have many causes to take pride in. Thank you all for keeping those pages lively and informative. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
