editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Ibn Battuta. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. M.Bitton (talk) 23:38, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
- I have noticed that these articles are frequently edited, and often these edits seem to distort or oversimplify the historical facts. Ibn Battuta, was defined as "a Maghrebi traveller" instead of "Moroccan Traveler", his place of birth is listed as the Maghreb and the Marinid Sultanate. These terms, while historically significant, do not clearly indicate his birthplace in the context of modern-day countries, which is "Tangier, Morocco." I have attempted to correct these inaccuracies myself, but my edits have been repeatedly reverted.
- I request implementing measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of these articles. Jihanysta (talk) 23:47, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
- You won't achieve anything by edit warring. As for the anachronistic terms that you're trying to introduce into the articles, they have been reverted numerous times before for the same reason (anachronism). M.Bitton (talk) 00:51, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- Well anachronism did not exist in IBN KHALDOUN' s page only in Ibn Battuta's!!
- If there isn't a solid argument about the changes you are making I will Dispute and re edit

- Contrary to what you claim, Ibn Khaldun is described as an Arab who was born in the Hafsid Sulatanate, so no anachronism there. M.Bitton (talk) 00:58, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- It does on google search
- Also Ibn khaldun Andalusian while Ibn battuta was born in tangier and died in Marrakech both Moroccan cities Jihanysta (talk) 01:04, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- Wrong again! Ibn Khaldun is not Andalusian. Anyway, since you created an account for the sole purpose of edit warring and have broken the 3R rule, you have now been reported to the admins. M.Bitton (talk) 01:07, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- Well best of luck!! Jihanysta (talk) 01:13, 19 May 2024 (UTC)

. Bbb23 (talk) 01:14, 19 May 2024 (UTC)- Subject: Request for Assistance with Content Dispute
- Dear Bbb23,
- I am writing to seek your assistance with a content dispute I am currently experiencing on the Ibn Battuta page.
- Recently, I made an edit to specify that Ibn Battuta was from Tangier, Morocco instead of the broader region of Maghreb. I believe this edit is accurate and provides more specific information to readers. However, another user M.Bitton disagreed with my edit and reported me without providing substantial arguments against my change.
- I attempted to engage in a respectful discussion with this user via the talk option, but unfortunately, the conversation did not remain respectful or productive. Given this situation, I feel it would be best to involve an administrator to help mediate this dispute and ensure that the most accurate information is presented on the page.
- I am also concerned about the potential for further disputes and would like to discuss the possibility of protecting the page to prevent disruptive editing.
- Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your guidance on this matter.
- Best regards,
- [Jihanysta] Jihanysta (talk) 02:04, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
