Hawthorne Caballeros
editSo you have no problem with an article that says The Caballeros are a drum corps in DCA who like to perform fellatio on men. and women of cabs suck too. overall, cabs are gay? User:Zoe|(talk)` I do have a problem with that, and it should have been removed, but there was no need to delete the entire article. --JimBurnell 20:33, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
I can ressurect it, if you will put some text into it, because an article which only contains a taxobox is considered empty. User:Zoe|(talk) 20:58, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
As long as you don't mind if it's a very brief description of the corps, I will put something in it right away. I just haven't had time to flesh it out.--JimBurnell 21:04, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
OK, I've undeleted it. Go ahead and put something in there. User:Zoe|(talk) 22:27, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
I added a quickie stub so there's something there now. Thank you. --JimBurnell 22:48, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
You're welcome. :) User:Zoe|(talk) 23:52, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Fantastic work
editYou've done a fantastic job referencing the article.. I'm impressed that you have such a grasp of cite.php (the <ref></ref>
) tags after such a short time working on the Wikipedia. Curious though.. why are some of the references placed as inline external links (ex:[1]) and the rest are cite.php refs (ex:[1])? Also, references should always go behind punctuation. That means, behind the punctuation that follows the clause that the reference is for.. so it can go in the middle of a sentence behind a comma or at the end of a sentence. -- drumguy8800 C T 23:15, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and no, I don't play anymore. Sorry -- drumguy8800 C T 23:16, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Well, there's sort of a funny gap between Start and B classes, as you'll see here. I'd actually say B-Class now that you've referenced it so wonderfully. Before that though, maybe you should add a picture .. ? Do you have any? -- drumguy8800 C T 07:00, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Bucs logo.gif)
editThanks for uploading Image:Bucs logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Buccaneers
editTheir championships are listed in several different spots on there already. Can it be worked in a little better so that the article is not just a laundry list? That is what I was attempting to do with my edition of the page. Werecowmoo (talk) 16:07, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- My goal is just to provide the most factual information. My roommate, a Buccaneers Alumni from 2004, confirmed what the source said on their website and had no way to know they'd picked up an additional sponsor. I simply provided a citation to back up what was presented on their organization website. Did not see anything wrong with editing while attempting to improve the article.Werecowmoo (talk) 22:01, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:FrontierLogo.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:FrontierLogo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:17, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:If Then Logo.png
editA tag has been placed on File:If Then Logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Stefan2 (talk) 22:24, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

editYour upload of File:Bucs2005.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.
This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! The article Bushwackers Drum and Bugle Corps has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Only source is a fan page. I can find a few mentions in local media but nithing that shows notability in WP:BEFORE. Clearly fails WP:ORG. WP:NOTEVERYTHING likely also applies.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. John from Idegon (talk) 23:58, 6 November 2019 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 26
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Drum Corps Associates Class A World Champions, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ron Nelson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

They were notable when they were an active corps. They’ve been gone since 2008, and they didn’t win any championships, so I guess they’re no longer notable. JimBurnell (talk) 05:33, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
