Orphaned fair use image (Image:VisionLogo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:VisionLogo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. ==Vision Magazine==

A tag has been placed on Vision Magazine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Wired/Gary Wolf

Jim, I'm not quite clear on what you're saying about "Wired" and Gary Wolf. Are you saying there's a conflict of interest in a Wikipedia article somewhere? If so, which specific article? You have a good point about the single source on another article. Which specific article is it? Is it the [[Wired (magazine)] article? Tell me which one it is and I'll flag it.

No Ale 8? That's just not right.

I've gotten so used to using the four tildes as a signature that I even put it on an e-mail to my boss at The Birmingham News last week. I know, that's sad.

By the way, I just read your Summer edition. I can just imagine going to my pastor and asking him to put up a billboard that said "Church doesn't suck." He'd have a spasm. Even if the magazine doesn't meet Wikipedia notability standards, it's still a nice publication. Unfortunately, the fact that it is not printed anymore may work against you on arguing notability, as some folks don't consider webzines notable by default. (That seems rather odd on Wikipedia, doesn't it?) Have you considered doing a sample printed edition to sell in chains like Lifeway, Berean and Family bookstores? I know printing costs are ridiculous, but an anual "special edition" might be a good lead-in to the webzine, and might attract some more advertisers that would otherwise be leery of a web-only product. Ad buyers' old habits are hard to break, y'know. Realkyhick 19:52, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

You do the cool indent thing merely by placing a colon as the first character of the paragraph you want to indent. Each additional colon indents another level. For instance, this paragraph is indented three levels. Cool, huh? Realkyhick 16:30, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
