Rail Maps
editYour rail maps such as Railway stations in Guinea are a lot better than what has gone before.
It is good to see rivers (?) which help give a idea of the terrain.
Could we have a scale on each map, both horizontal and verticle?
Keep up the good work.
Benin
editYour Benin map has beheaded the top half of the country. This now matters as the long proposed northern extension to iron ore deposits at Say and to Niger is being activated. See Railway stations in Benin. Proposed lines could of course be drawn dashed.
Map Labels
editYour excellent maps are getting even better.
Sometimes map labels are crowded if they are printed large,
while they are hard to read if they are printed small.
A solution might be to put a one or two letter code printed large next to the town, and put the explanation of the code over the ocean or in some nearby blank space.
SM .... Smithtown
A ..... Accra
Angola Rail Map
editRegarding your wonderful rail map of Angola:
- the Gabela line (610mm gauge) is closed. Draw dashed??
- it would be nice if lines going into other countries were shown as much as possible.

- Witam! Could you add the planned new lines as layed out in Rail_transport_in_Angola#Planned_new_lines? Of course in some different color, or maybe dashed or so? Pozdrawiam L.Willms (talk) 08:45, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi Jkan997, there are several more errors in File:West and East Berlin.svg. I add some comments here. The whole Berlin subject is pretty complicated, because of the exclaves and several territorial exchanges between GDR and West-Berlin. Also the course of the Berlin Wall is not the same as the official Berlin-GDR border. There are lots of maps to this topic - unfortunately only a few of them are 100% correct. --Alexrk2 (talk) 18:36, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
Some help with mapping?
editI saw your post here and it seems this is a perfect solution for my rail mapping needs. I have a KMZ file of many railways in the area, but it has many errors that I'd like to fix. Can you point me to an easy to use tool for this? Maury Markowitz (talk) 16:35, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
Endorsement
editAs you can see on this page: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IEG/ShareMap#Project_goals I have given my endorsement for the grant. I had indeed taken it away because I realized that I hadn't read the reasons for the request in full nor had I read the remarks on the discussion page. But, again, I have given my endorsement now. Good luck. Wereldburger758 (talk) 11:50, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
Capitol Limited
editNote that it's Capitol, not Capital. You'll probably want to correct it on sharemap. Best, Mackensen (talk) 22:09, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
- Uups - my mistake - thanks Mackensen for mentioning. --Jkan997 (talk) 22:15, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
Amtrak Northeast Regional
editHey -- great work on the Amtrak Northeast Regional map. Head on over to the talk page because I left you some feedback on a correction to the alignment in New York City. Keep up the good work! --Lukevl 10:05, 9 January 2014 (EST)
