Ways to improve Asia Venture Group
editHi, I'm JamesG5. Jkt.foodie, thanks for creating Asia Venture Group!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Page has awkward grammar that looks like possible rough translation. Only in one category, and that's not valid. Had inappropriate inline text links, removed. Half the sources are the company website.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. JamesG5 (talk) 02:48, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- Regarding my comment above about inappropriate links, I was referring to things like this
- Asia Venture Group was founded in 2013 in Kuala Lumpur by the German entrepreneur Tim Marbach
- and this
- most of them being early stage companies, such as Kfit
- Please note that the only links acceptable in the body of an article are to other Wikipedia articles (as in "entrepreneur" or Kualua Lumpur above), the links to company websites or peoples' LinkedIns are not OK. Those should go, if they belong at all, in an "external links" section. JamesG5 (talk) 02:52, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Hey JamesG5,
thanks for pointing these issues out. I don't get what you mean with akward grammar, I wrote it myself and it was also checked by people who are fluent or native in English; they didn't have any remarks regarding the grammar. I added more reference links and dismissed the links to the about us page. Regarding the inappropriate links - I didn't know that, thanks for clearyfing. I tried to add additional categories, but their are displayed incorrectly. Can you help me out with this? Thanks :)
- On the grammar, as a for instance, it should be "a one stop shopping location," not an. This sentence Together with its co-founded companies AVG operates in 2016 in 13 offices around the globe, employing more than 1,000 people from more than 35 countries. should read In 2016, together with its co-founded companies, AVG operates in 13 offices around the globe,. There are some other bits like that. It's OK to use links to the company website, but you need more links to 3rd party reliable sources. For help on categories, see WP:CATEGORY.
