I noticed that you're editing Wikipedia as part of a class assignment. Editing Wikipedia tends to be very different from other schoolwork - on the one hand, as you pointed out, anybody can change your work. However, the benefit is that most college assignments tend to be completely forgotten about after they're graded - they're of no use to anyone. When you contribute to Wikipedia, you're providing information to a global audience. My advice would be to consider WP:OWN - if you're making a good faith contribution, no other editor should feel that you're intruding on their work. My experience is that the serious, experienced editors tend to be very welcoming of collaboration. Similarly, if others are editing your work in good faith, you should try to work with them. If you think they're making the article worse, not better, than you'll need to have a good knowledge of the various policies (or at least a knowledge of where those policies are and how to use them) so that you can make a strong argument for your position. If you can't make headway, there are ways to get more experienced editors involved to help settle the issue. However, every editor needs to let go of any feeling of ownership that they have over their contributions. Welcome, and best of luck.

Your GA nomination of Landscape urbanism

edit

The article Landscape urbanism you nominated as a good article has failed  ; see Talk:Landscape urbanism for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Rawlangs (talk) 18:31, 22 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
