Hello, I'm MusikAnimal. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Étienne Chouard— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. — MusikAnimal talk 19:17, 6 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Copying licensed material requires proper attribution

edit

It appears that you have created the article Franck Lepage using content from the French wiki. While you are welcome to re-use licensed content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying from other compatibly-licensed wikis, please at minimum mention in an edit summary at the new page where you got the content. It's also a good idea to place a {{translated}} template on the talk page of the new article. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please go back and provide attribution. Let me know if you have any questions. — Diannaa (talk) 03:35, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

-- Wow! wiki is becoming more and more crazy, how can you copyright something free in the first place written freely by someone? explains that to me? i do write wikipedia article and content and for free, that was the first goal of Wikipedia! i'm having so many problems with censorship on wiki, ok, i might not use the right format because wiki makes it very opaque to edit, answer to people and so on, lol i use to give to wikimedia, but now i see how Private, Dogmatic, narrowminded it's become, it's sad but don't worry how do the spread the word how crooked wikipedia has become! -- Jmvernay ps: so much for the creative commons...sigh... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.146.81.221 (talk) 12:59, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the answer, i will try understand, it's not a reason to delete pages though...this copyright business is nonesense in a wiki commons media, but hey i don't write your laws, actaully no i can be bothered waisting more of my time by doing it

Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on User talk:Diannaa. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Warning for personal attack for this edit. Thomas.W talk 13:13, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

i'm being bloced anyway! it's not an attack, fuck is a word and can be use as every other word, but if you want to censor it, up to you, wikipedia does a lot to censor people lol! so if one cannot express is anger anymore where are we going, and if you take it personally then you should read the 4 toltec agreements...i did say sorry first in excusing my french...what about people suffering from Turet, are you discriminating those as well?

  • You haven't been blocked yet, anyway, but what you're doing is trying to shoot the messenger just because you didn't like the message you got. You may have whatever opinion you want about the copyright rules here, but they're not our own inventions but have been imposed on us by the Wikimedia legal department, so all we're doing is enforcing them... Welcome!

Hello, Jmvernay, and welcome to Wikipedia! While efforts to improve Wikipedia are always welcome, unfortunately your contributions are not written in an English that is good enough to be useful. You appear to be more familiar with French; did you know there is a French Wikipedia? You may prefer to contribute there instead. In any case, welcome to the project, and thank you for your efforts! If you need help, please feel free to notify me on my talk page. lovkal (talk) 08:01, 17 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Bienvenue!
