I've added some helpful links to this page, at the top. They might prove useful as you begin editing. I've also commented at the Help Desk, in response to your question about your article. Feel free to reply there if you have additional questions, and I (or, more likely, another editor) will be happy to help. Lastly, don't get discouraged! No one's first article is 100% perfect the instant it gets posted - that's literally the whole point behind an encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Best to you. Adding to a page

edit

I have some additions to a page on the history of Snowboarding. There was mention of Paul Graves, Jake Burton Carpenter and the first snowboard competition. I was the one who put the two together after Paul and i did a TV piece for PM Magazine on the Hartford, CT station. I was the New england salesman for Snurfers and Paul wanted to help with promoting. The piece was picked up nationally. A few days later, Jake called me to get info on the "National Championship". Rest, I guess, is history. Also, through the event, Paul got called to do commercials for LaBatt's beer among others. Please help me with...

This should probably be discussed at the article's talk page. Please note, however, that Wikipedia content must be based on what reliable published sources such as newspapers or reputable sports magazines have reported; we cannot accept personal testimony (there's no way for our readers to verify it). I'm not sure I see the significance of Graves' beer commercials to the history of snowboarding unless it's meant to be an indication that snowboarding was commercialized very early on.
