Eyoo Feedback: Aleutian Range

You brought up good introductory information on how earthquakes and volcano eruptions can occur on the Aleutian Range, but the sentence structure seemed too short. You could also add more details and add longer sentences to elaborate what occurred during the 2008 eruption and the 7.9 magnitude earthquake with peer reviewed articles. There could be room for more improvement by mentioning how these natural disturbances affected the ecosystems on the ridge and societies that live near by. For example, did it affect the river nearby and deplete resources? Another possibility to improve the article is to discuss the characterizations of the Aleutian Range, such as what types of plants and animals live on the range.

Kkearn7 Feedback: Aleutian Range

Important information about volcanic eruptions and earthquakes in the range was added. Sentence structure was good and the information was relevant and factual, but the content added was a bit brief. More detail about the results of the earthquake and volcanic eruption would have been helpful, but overall, the information added greatly improved the article.

Appropriate article related to course content. Statements added were direct, concise, but more could be developed to indicate why this particular earthquake was “unique.” On the article Talk page, be sure to indicate your reasoning for why the contribution was made – how will it help improve the article? The contribution itself is incorporated well, though I agree with your peers that additional details would help expand the understanding and place the event in context of ecological processes and societal outcomes.
