Welcome JoãotheWikiFan!
I'm Walter Görlitz, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{helpme}}

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Hi Walter Görlitz!
editThis was the first time my talk page was edited. Thank you! JoãotheWikiFan (talk) 12:02, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
"Cow" elephant
editI saw that you asked about a photo at African bush elephant which has a caption "cow elephant". If you read the Reproduction section, you will see that males are bulls, females are cows and babies are calves/calf. So, a herd would have bulls, cows and calves!
Cattle and Moose are also referred to as bulls, cows and calves. Just a way to refer to the sex and age of certain species of animals. I hope this helps! Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 01:23, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
Signing posts
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Talk:Olympic Games, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Please note, I have reformatted and signed your post for you this time. Generally, we format discussion by placing a signature after the text, rather than typing your username manually before the post. One reason for this is that it provides a link to your user and talk page. Happy editing. Local Variable (talk) 15:34, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
