Thanks I am going to work with those who developed the material to be sure we don't have a COI issue. The work described is open source. There is no intent to sell any product. Our goal is simply to educate the the community about the existence and usage of the Framework. We will continue to update the page over the coming days. Thank you for your fast response. Cheers!

Hi, Joan. That brings up another issue, one of conflict of interest. I can restore the article, but please take a look at the link I just provided. If you keep the content neutral and within the guidelines, it shouldn't be a problem. Try and aviod any self-promotional language; think really dry, scholarly text a la "Encyclopedia Brittanica." I'll restore the article for you. Good luck! --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:01, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I went ahead and removed it for you. There isn't any particular rule for when a construction template has to come off. The article still needs some wikis and maybe a bit of overall style tweaking, but it looks great to me other than that. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:13, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Identity Assurance Framework, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. LH (talk) 03:58, 14 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Identity Assurance Framework

edit

The article Identity Assurance Framework has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable neologism, seems promotional in intent, and referenced either to the self-published material of an interested party or to 404 links. Vaguely written, and leaves you without a clue what this is about: The Identity Assurance Framework (IAF) provides the policies to assure a Relying Party to have confidence in a Federated Identity that is assured by an Identity Provider (IdP). The degree of confidence in Identity assurance is represented by a commonly agreed-upon "level of assurance." The IAF specifies the way IdPs have to run their services and how the IdPs are audited to ensure they are operating their services in conformance with their proclaimed level(s) of assurance and the stated terms of service.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
