Hi,

edit

Hi I notice you contribute a good bit to Wikipedia as Gaeilge. I was wondering if you could confirm a translation of Celtic Park, Derry for me. My Irish isn't brilliant, I hazarded a guess at Páirc na Ceilteach, but I'm suspecting that might be wrong.

Thanks. User:Derry Boi

Ok thanks (Derry Boi 18:49, 15 September 2006 (UTC))Reply

You seem like you have a lot a knowledge with respect Irish history so maybe you would like to comment on the historic basis of this term here Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-12-02 IRA 'Volunteer' usage

PBS

edit

Now why did you delete the PBS article?! The previous unsigned comment was added by 213.202.142.79 on 20 December 2006 21:03 RE: [Secondary School revert]

I removed it because it's unencyclopedic. Funny - if you're familiar with the school - and stupid and pointless - if you're not, which is infinitely more likely on the web. Feel free to bulk up the article, but with factual, sourced and relevant information. Joe Byrne -- Talk -- Contribs - :ga: - :fr: -   - 15:34, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

edit

As pretty as it is, images aren't supposed to be in signatures any more. Thanks. One Night In Hackney303 14:27, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Kildare

edit

Ah ok, I did not get that. I've moved Kildare to Kildare Town. You might want to edit the resulting redirect so that it becomes a proper disambig. Cheers, Pascal.Tesson 14:27, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Fair use disputed for Image:Theframes-fitzcarraldo1995.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Theframes-fitzcarraldo1995.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:33, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ghostscover.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ghostscover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:45, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I want to add a little bit to the above. My Irish isn't the greatest. I should be grateful if you would oversee and correct any grammar or spelling errors to help my confidence (see Martin O'Neill). Aatomic1 (talk) 12:56, 24 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Joe Byrne! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited William Lanne, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wybalenna (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
