Speedy deletion nomination of User:Joellekinia

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Joellekinia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.   Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself, your interests and goals as they relate to editing Wikipedia, as well as disclosures of conflicts of interest and paid editing. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:

The user page guidelines have additional information on what is and what is not considered acceptable content. Please use your user sandbox or the draft article space to practice editing or to create new articles. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:09, 14 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Maliner. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Maliner (talk) 17:36, 14 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Draft:Joelle Kinia. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. jlwoodwa (talk) 20:47, 14 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Joelle Kinia

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Joelle Kinia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. File permission problem with File:Joelle kinia Selfie Brazzaville.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Joelle kinia Selfie Brazzaville.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:10, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Marchjuly,
Thank you for notifying me about the permission issue with the file “Joelle kinia Selfie Brazzaville.jpg” I’m new to Wikipedia, so I appreciate your guidance.
I’ve taken steps to resolve this. I have sent an email to the permissions team at permissions-en@wikimedia.org to verify that I am the copyright holder and that I’m releasing the image under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. I’ve also added the
{{permission pending}}
template to the file’s description page while I await confirmation.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I should do, and thank you again for your assistance! — joellekinia Joellekinia (talk) 01:54, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
A VRT member will review the email you sent in and take care of the rest. If the VRT member finds everything to be in order, they willl replace the "Permission pending" template with Template:Permission ticket; however, if the VRT feels further verification is needed, they will replace the "Permission pending" template with Template:Permission received and most likely email you back to explain what the problem is. Since there tends to be more emails to verify than there are VRT members, the verification process can take a bit of time. If, however, the status quo hasn't changed after a few weeks, you might want to ask for an update on things at WP:VRTN. In the meantime, you might want to take a look at c:COM:LRV, c:COM:REUSE and c:COM:ENFORCE to make sure you understand what it means to upload your copyrighted work to Wikipedia. It's hard to undo things once your WP:CONSENT has been verified; so, it's better to be sure this is really what you want to do before the file's licensing get verified. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:03, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
