Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Saint Joseph's College (Indiana), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 05:23, 23 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

edit

I undid your edit to Saint Joseph's College (Indiana) as it was unreferenced. Adding references is how we ensure that content is valid. Without references, a reader can not easily validate information and there is no presumption of accuracy. To add a reference, please read Help:Referencing for beginners and Help:footnotes. This is covered by the Wikipedia policy of wp:verifiability (WP:V). Please wp:cite your edits with wp:reliable sources (RS). Per WP:V unsourced content can be removed. Your edits are saved in the wp:page history. Please add references when you restore the content. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 05:23, 23 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Saint Joseph's College (Indiana). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Jim1138 (talk) 05:34, 23 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Rensselaer, Indiana. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. John from Idegon (talk) 08:21, 23 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Click on "Edit source" or "Edit" (if no "Edit source") just above to see how to put together a reference:

Apple promoted Denise Young Smith as head of inclusion and diversity.[1]

See wp:citing sources for how to format such. Subpages are help:referencing for beginners and help:footnotes. wp:verifiability is the policy on why references must be added. Any significant information that someone would want to vet or find out more info should have a citation. See wp:reliable sources on what is acceptable and wp:NOTRS on what is not acceptable. You can use wp:RefToolbar/2.0 which usually is available while editing to help format a reference. See the wp:templates {{cite web}} {{cite book}} {{cite journal}} for templates which are useful to format references. The {{reflist talk}} below is for displaying references on talk pages. Otherwise, a {{reflist}} is commonly used. Hope this helps. You can ask at the wp:teahouse for more immediate help. If you want to get into the nitty-gritty, links on wp:Policy and wp:Manual of Style Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 20:55, 23 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
