AfD nomination of Superior Taste Award

The key to content additions and new article creation is wp:notability. The basis for notability is substantial coverage in independent sources. All I see for this subject is a press release from the organization and citations to the organization itself. If there is substantial coverage in independent sources like magazines, newspapers, or books, that would demonstrate the subject meets guidelines for inclusion. Thanks for the note. When there aren't good sources for a sbuejct that's a problem. But sometimes people decide to keep an article anyway. It's no bother at all and I'm happy to help in any way I can. People watch each other's pages so I'm sure some of my talk page fans will check out the article and try to improve it.

Press releases aren't much use as far as whether an article is worth keeping in the encyclopedia, but articles in foreign languages can be included. Add them in and make sure to mention them in the deletion discussion. There are many people who would be happy to translate too if needed. We try not to have an English language bias...

Anyone can remove the "flags" (templates) and anyone can add them back. My personal opinion is that they should be included until independent sources with substantial coverage are found. If there are no good reliable sources it's very hard to improve an article. But we'll see what happens with the deletion discussion. If you want help from Wikipedia's most famous article rescuer you can try asking user:MichaelQSchmidt very nicely on his talk page. If he can't help, maybe no one can.  :) But nothing is deleted forever, and articles can always be recreated in your userspace and worked on or kept until there is coverage that would make the subject notable. That being said, I have no idea what decision the community will make on the article I proposed for deletion or the other I tagged for notability. You can also discuss the articles and any ideas you have for improving them on the article talk page.

Please if you have any further questions or I haven't answered well, do not hesitate to ask me again and I will be happy to help or at least point you in the right direction. Good luck. ChildofMidnight (talk) 03:34, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
