Speedy deletion nomination of User:JohnPyeAuctions/sandbox
editA tag has been placed on your user page, User:JohnPyeAuctions/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) editIf you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:54, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hello Yunshui, many thanks for your reply and explaining the full reasons behind it. In reponse to your message: 1. I agree to avoid creating or directly editing any further article about John Pye Auctions. I will only go through the route of requested edits and strictly follow the site guidelines.
2. I agree to abide the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use: My only paid relationship was in regards to the John Pye Auctions article. I work for this organisation full-time. I won't be creating anything directly to John Pye Auctions anymore. That is my only paid relationship: any other edit, I don't have any sort of paid agreement with anyone.
3. I did start with a company profile as that was my first attempt of editing, however I do like Wikipedia and I like the idea to be able to contribute to it and I wouldn't want to be precluded this opportunity. I am very passionate about the online auction business, types of auctions, bidding techniques and legality around the auction world. Therefore, I would like to be able to make contributions in those areas. I am also an SEO, therefore I would also like to make contributions in the area of SEO, E-commerce and Digital Marketing - always strictly answering Wikipedia policies from now on. Many Thanks.
Decline reason:
You have a clear conflict of interest in editing about online auctions, so you won't be unblocked to edit about that. Since you mention SEO and digital marketing I'm also not certain you should edit in those areas either. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 10:35, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
Hello. I understand the conflict of interest that appears in regards of me editing about online auctions so if that's the final decision I can only accept this. However I am not sure about your mention on SEO and Digital Marketing and on why I shouldn't be allowed to edit in those areas either. I would have thought Wikipedia would benefit if specific sections were to be edited by people who are qualified in those fields as they practice them everyday and they would allow for the articles to be more in depth and relevant? I would appreciate if you could clarify this. Thanks.
Decline reason:
This is not an unblock request. And no, WP:COI explains this in more detail. Please read it, we've repeatedly pointed you to that policy. Yamla (talk) 11:34, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
