Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Adult (band) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Adult (band) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.discogs.com/ADULT-WorkWreck/release/4950611) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:40, 10 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

ADULT. edits

edit

Hi John. The revert of your extensive edits wasn't by me, it was an automated bot the day before. By the looks of the message the bot left you above, it took exception to the discogs.com link. Which seems weirdly overzealous. I've restored your content.

Wikipedia's style guide at MOS:TMRULES discourages the use of all-caps and punctuation when writing paragraphs of text, even when a company or group prefers it. It's the same as the band review you've used as a source, it's just easier to read. --Lord Belbury (talk) 17:42, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much! I really appreciate this. I will still do some research on the bands spelling and get back with you after I have researched the material you sent. I hope I am replying in the correct window? It is a bit confusing to me. John Vulpine (talk) 18:32, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

All fine. Looking at MOS:TMRULES you'd need to show that "a significant majority of reliable sources that are independent of the subject consistently include the special character in the subject's name". --Lord Belbury (talk) 18:53, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you again, that is very helpful. John Vulpine (talk) 19:35, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Here is a list of sources showing the consistent use of the period (full stop) after (and as part of) the band ADULT.'s name. Please let me know if satisfies the requirement to challenge Wiki's style guide?
