Welcome

Welcome to Wikipedia! I see you corrected the grammar in a section of the baklava article. I have removed that section entirely, because it was not only badly written (which you partially corrected), but not good quality in general. The claims it made were unsourced (despite the list of dictionaries) and the details of Arabic linguistics are irrelevant whether baqlawah is related to the Semitic root b-q-l or not. As a general rule, I try to avoid cleaning up spelling, punctuation, and wording in sections which are questionable on other bases. First of all, I'd rather spend my time on something else; secondly, improving the style makes the questionable content more plausible; I would rather it keep the signs of its origin.... --Macrakis 21:58, 27 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
