Project News

New Year's Revolution (2007) failed its Featured article nomination. Its nomination page can be found here.

AJPW Unified World Tag Team Championship failed its Featured list nomination. Its nomination page can be found here.

Royal Rumble (2005) has been listed for Peer review. Please review this article and make suggestions on how it can be improved before being nominated for Good Article status. The peer review can be found here.

Don Kent (wrestler), No Way Out (2004), Unforgiven (2004), Lisa Marie Varon, Torrie Wilson, SummerSlam (1994), and Ricky Banderas are currently Good article candidates.

Briscoe Brothers and King of the Ring (1994) have been elevated to Good article status.

Member News

Current Events

Former TNA professional wrestler Chris Harris has officially signed with World Wrestling Entertainment as confirmed by himself in his personal website.
Ron Killings and The Big Show are still being reported as to having signed WWE contracts. As there is no reliable source for anything of the sort, be prepared for their names to be continually added to the WWE Roster article and information about their returns being added to their own articles. There is also apparently an audio interview with Killings where he states he will be returning to WWE with his old K-Kwik gimmick.
Bobby Lashley is being reported to have been released by WWE. His profile has been removed from WWE.com. But again, there is no reliable source for his release, so be prepared to revert his removal from the roster article and edits to his own article.

Collaboration of the Week

The monthly featured article collaboration for February 3 through February 16 is Shawn Michaels. Please help to improve it to match the quality of an ideal Wikipedia professional wrestling related article. The next article for collaboration will be chosen on Sunday, February 17.

Speedy deletion of Template:FOX Network Affiliates serving New Jersey

A tag has been placed on Template:FOX Network Affiliates serving New Jersey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:WWOR EMI Service logo.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:WWOR EMI Service logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. No Way Out (2004) and Torrie Wilson have been elevated to Good article status.

This newsletter will now be issued every other week, per the discussion here.

Current Events

Taping spoilers indicate that he debuted under the name Kwik Killings in a Dark match. No reliable source has reported this as of now, however.

On February 7, WWE announced that it would cease it's affiliation with Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Also on February 7, WWE announced that SmackDown would be leaving The CW at the end of the 2007-2008 Television Season.
