External links in your article submission

edit

Dear Mr. Meed: You article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/John Meed will be coming up for review shortly. While you wait, please consider removing the external links to various personal and organization web sites that are sprinkled through the body of the article. These are considered to be promotional, and could cause your article to be declined. Even if the reviewer doesn't notice them and accepts the page anyway, other editors will remove them as soon as they are noticed. Links in the body of the article should only be to other Wikipedia articles. Thanks! —Anne Delong (talk) 22:17, 11 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thankyou very much Anne - I had not realised that and have now deleted the links that are not to Wikipedia pages. I have left the links in the references where relevant so they can be verified. Or should I remove these as well? Thanks again, John Meed Johnmeed (talk) 09:34, 12 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
