Speedy deletion nomination of User:JoinTODA

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:JoinTODA requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 03:36, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

edit

This page should not be speedily deleted because the Association and its Chapter exist and meets the Wikipedia Goal. I am currently in the process of adding more information about the Truck Owners and Drivers Association.

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Cabayi (talk) 08:54, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

There was no specific purpose of using the name 'JoinTODA' other than that Association has used this handle for all its logins. Also, JoinTODA is association's official hashtag used over 6 million times. The concept and idea of Truck Owners and Drivers Association was established in 2020 with a goal to united truck drivers and represent the key mmembers, the working/labor force of trucking industry. There are trucking associations and its organisation American Trucking Association that represents Trucking businesses but never truly an association that represented Truckers of the United States. Truck Owners and Drivers Association's mission is to help truck drivers understand thier role in the vast logistics industry to help them elevate thier skills, knowledge and expertise with upcoming technological changes, specially in the autonomous direction. I hope this is convincing enough to remove the block in the account and 'subject matter' herein. JoinTODA (talk) 06:20, 20 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

That would be fine as a new username. However, Wikipedia is not a place for organizations to tell about themselves and what they do. Articles are typically written by independent editors wholly unconnected with the topic, and summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the topic, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of notability, like a notable organization. Please read conflict of interest and paid editing. ("paid editing" includes employment in any capacity) You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your organization. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you want to be a more general contributor and edit about topics for which you have no conflict of interest, please tell what those are- once you have a good edit history demonstrating your understanding of relevant Wikipedia policies, you may later be permitted to indirectly contribute about your organization, but not now. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:34, 20 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
