Suggestions on Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Merwin Sibulkin

edit

Greetings, this is a good start, but to the untrained eye your References look pretty informal. Given that Sibulkin's career and impact is covered in actual serious books and journals, why not add some stronger references? I've done one for you as an example; in under 60 seconds of searching I came across mention of his "bathtub experiment" (which I honestly thought was your personal joke when I read it first) on GoogleBooks, and formatted the URL into a fully-fleshed citation using http://reftag.appspot.com

I'm pretty sure this article will eventually get approved and published, but please do yourself a solid and give it some more formal sourcing, and in footnote form rather than just listing links at the bottom. Just another hour or two of giving it stronger references will help a lot. MatthewVanitas (talk) 20:20, 15 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Allied Quality Assurance Publications

edit

Hello Jono799,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Allied Quality Assurance Publications for deletion, because it seems to be vandalism or a hoax.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Dudel250 (talk) 05:19, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Allied Quality Assurance Publications

edit

The article Allied Quality Assurance Publications has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Allied Quality Assurance Publications

edit

Hi,

The article about which you inquire was deleted through Wikipedia's proposed deletion process. Under this process, the request of anyone -- including yourself -- is sufficient to have the article restored. I will do this shortly. The restoration which I will perform does not protect the article from further challenge. It may still be nominated by any editor for a full deletion debate, where a thorough discussion on the merits of the article can be conducted. We appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, and certainly do not wish to lose you as an editor. Best wishes, Xoloz (talk) 15:44, 3 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

I support your position on your new page.

edit

The person who nominated your page Allied Quality Assurance Publications has apparently reverted many of my edits and left an insubstantial message on my talk page. I do not believe that that article passes for notability reasons, however I think the summary could be a bit confusing. I would recommend you expand on that quickly and show how the article has notability. Also, I would put some articles in English on the further reading portion if possible. If another problem comes up again, I will support you. Bladeor (talk) 21:44, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wiki Loves Pride 2014

edit

Hi Jono. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --Another Believer (Talk) 18:35, 13 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Pride!

  • What? Wiki Loves Pride, a campaign to document and photograph LGBT culture and history, including pride events

3.) Contribute to an LGBT-related task force at another Wikimedia project (Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikivoyage, etc.)

Or, view or update the current list of Tasks. This campaign is supported by the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group, an officially recognized affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome!

If you have any questions, please leave a message on the campaign's main talk page.
