Cheers!
Hi Jonschr: in reply to your post on my talk page - I didn't add the "BLPunsourced" tag, just moved it to the right place, but in fact it doesn't seem relevant any more (I didn't check at the time!), so I've removed it. In general I'd say that you should try and add more biographical info to the article - or scrap the "Biography" heading. Date of birth is usually included. There's probably a better "Infobox" to use than just "Celebrity"? You might like to check WP:POLITICIAN to see whether she's actually "Notable" in the Wikipedia meaning of the word - candidates aren't, in general. ALso, remember that WP is international and cryptic jargon familiar in the USA is not necessarily known to all English-speaking readers: I'm vaguely familiar with the term "GOP" but you should use the party's better-recognised name. Don't forget to link useful terms to appropriate WP articles - I've added a few links for you. Good luck with your editing! PamD (talk) 21:14, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks! I've made the changes you suggested and learned a bit in the process.
Speedy deletion nomination of Chris Thieneman
editA tag has been placed on Chris Thieneman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 04:30, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if you were aware, but this article was restored to your userspace as User:Jonschr/Chris Thieneman roughly a month ago. I have used added the {{userspace draft}} tag to it. I note that you don't seem to have edited it since it was restored, and I don't see any notification of the restoration on your talk page. DES (talk) 17:51, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
