Chiropractic

edit

Thanks for editing Chiropractic; it's helpful to have a fresh eye on the subject. However, I found some problems with that edit; can you please follow up at Talk:Chiropractic #Recent undiscussed changes to Effectiveness? It might also help to review the banners at the top of that talk page, e.g., "Please read this page and discuss substantial changes here before making them." (I don't want to seem off-putting, but alas the page is controversial so some care must be taken there.) Thanks. Eubulides (talk) 19:35, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your comment on the talk page, "Most importantly, I prefer my ordering of the info to the previous version's ordering. I think the most important point under efficacy is something along the lines that...." was, I thought, a valid one. Do you have the time to flesh out a proposal for a specific wording change? I mention this because that part of the discussion has just now been archived, to Talk:Chiropractic/Archive 27 #Recent undiscussed changes to Effectiveness. If you'd like to further the discussion, I suggest starting a new thread at Talk:Chiropractic about it. Eubulides (talk) 16:45, 2 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I just now installed the change that you suggested, and which was further discussed in Talk:Chiropractic/Archive 28 #Fixing first paragraph under EFFICACY. Can you please check the result in Chiropractic to see whether it matches what you were proposing? Again, thanks for your contributions. Eubulides (talk) 08:54, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --Avant-garde a clue-hexaChord2 20:19, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Jordanotto! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alfred S. Posamentier, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mercy College (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Example for Arrow's theorem

edit

The example was confusing, rather than helpful. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Arrow%27s_impossibility_theorem&diff=630012808

To be able to say B beats A or B beats C, specify the preferences at lease, like 35 % prefer A to B to C (or A to C to B); 35 % prefer B to A to C (or B to C to A); 30% prefer C to A to B (or C to B to A). Some of these lead to the conclusion you wanted. However, in either case, it does not follow from the assumptions of the theorem that B will be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theorist2 (talkcontribs) 04:49, 18 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Portfolio strategy

edit

Hello Jordanotto,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Portfolio strategy for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 06:28, 17 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Portfolio strategy article

edit

Hello, thanks for writing this article! I’ve just read it and I’m a bit concerned that it has no citations. That worries me since without proof that this topic is notable, meaning covered enough in media to get a Wikipedia article on it, the article may get deleted.

Are there any reliable sources on the topic that you can add? If so just edit the article and add citations using the cite tool, or if you have any thoughts or questions just let me know. Blythwood (talk) 20:13, 18 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
