MN Independence party
editWelcome to wikipedia. The United States has a very strong two-party system, where third party/independent candidates rarely win or even get close. Some states have very strict ballot access, and some are very lenient. In New Jersey, as much as 20 candidates could get on the ballot for a single position: President, U.S. Senator, or even U.S. Representative. Every wikipedia article about an election should have a complete candidate list. The infobox on the otherhand could only have up to 8 candidates. In several other articles, we editors have come to a consensus that it should only include major candidates as defined as any candidate who obtains at least 5% of the vote. Before the election, a candidate should get at least 5% in at least one poll. Considering the recent history of Minnesota, that shouldn't take long. The Minnesota Independence Party is one of the strongest, best performing third parties in the country. Just be patient.--Jerzeykydd (talk) 15:58, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
