A tag has been placed on on your user page, User:Jreconomy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages: user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam and the guidelines on user pages.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page in question and leave a note on this page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calton | Talk 00:49, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:IBISWorld bnw knowledge.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:IBISWorld bnw knowledge.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:15, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Many of your recent posts have involved inserting text that features one particular company, IBIS, and the company is also prominently featured in this text. If IBIS surveys contain useful, relevant information, that can be added to articles, but the company's name should not be incorporated as it is already noted in the citation. Please feel free to ask if you require more information about this, Thank you. Ckatzchatspy 08:31, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your Contribution to Gen Y

edit

I just wanted to let you know that the reference that you posted to your additions to Generation Y is a dead link... I am not sure why, I noticed the colon : after the url and tried deleting that but it still didnt come up. could you please take a look at it and figure out what went wrong.  %%-SYKKO-%% (talk to me) 18:18, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

You really need to give a reference to something that that shows what you are saying is related to a reliable source. One of the problems with linking to a general site (in which you seem to be rather attached to) is that it suggests WP:COI and it really doesn't help verify the situation. I am not so sure that what you have contributed to the article is exactly the type of tone that will improve the article as it seems to be rather Point of view type info. Please help clarify your recent edit to site a new reference that is reliable if you don't mind. %%-SYKKO-%% (talk to me) 23:40, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Jreconomy. You have new messages at Sykko's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Proposed deletion of IBISWorld

edit

The article IBISWorld has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
