Helpful hint

edit

When administrators remove 2/3 of the content of the article you wrote, it is typically for a reason.

Please consider what that reason may be. Please try to understand this from our perspective. I understand that the article is important to you -- one presumes you work for, or are otherwise affiliated with, the company -- but you can't have that sort of stuff in an article here. Don't try to re-insert it, okay? DS (talk) 16:18, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Further helpful hint: Don't log out to re-add the information, and do not develop a special "campaign" focused on sales generated from the Wikipedia article. Please read the conflict of interest guidelines, and bear in mind that this article, with its repeated insertion of advertorial information, is dangerously close to our speedy deletion criterion G.11 ("Pages that are exclusively promotional, and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic."). Recommend you return to the version by DragonflySixtyseven. Risker (talk) 18:41, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

The Opsgear article is not meeting our standards

edit

So far, there is nothing in the article that attributes notability to Opsgear: no sales figures, no number of employees, no discussion of business model, no information on whether it is a public or private company, etc. And you continue to insert advertorial content, despite repeated advice to stop doing so. In a few hours, barring removal of the excess and insertion of information documented by a reliable independent party that demonstrates the company is actually notable, I will be proposing that the article be deleted.   1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Speedy deletion nomination of OPSGEAR

A tag has been placed on OPSGEAR, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Jasper Deng (talk) 16:52, 12 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Opsgear, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

  Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Opsgear. Please use the {{hang on}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 00:24, 13 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've blocked you for one week for repeatedly recreating a deleted article. You were notified of the original deletion debate, notified of the speedy deletion of the recreation, and told not to do it again, yet you neither complied nor responded. This is simply unacceptable. If you try to repost it again after your block has expired, I will block this account permanently. If you have no other interest in Wikipedia other than promoting this company, I suggest you move on to another website. postdlf (talk) 01:21, 13 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted.
