Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. — MusikAnimal talk 18:07, 16 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. PhilKnight (talk) 15:38, 19 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

BTW The new name still suggests the company name to me. Peridon (talk) 15:54, 19 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I deeply regret the action taken by me earlier and fully understand that this is an encyclopedia of great repute. And that this is not a platform to be used for vested interest. I realize my mistake which I had made in excitement to be a part of this esteemed site and partly due to my ignorance. I assure you that there will not be any repeat of such action from my part. I hope the new user name which is also my nickname does not have any issues. I am sorry once again that I have started off on a wrong footing but hope you would give me another chance to redeem myself and be a useful neutral contributor. For sure being a responsible and law abiding citizen, I do not want to end up in your bad books. Digital Colour Space (talk) 04:53, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. PhilKnight (talk) 12:27, 22 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Dear Sir,

1) As replied earlier I fully understand that this is an encyclopedia of great repute and is a live collaboration which updates itself every minute through contributions given by people from all walks of life and which can be verified.

2) I have realized the mistake I made when I tried promoting Digital Colour Space, adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. I now clearly understand that this is not a site to be used for vested interest or used as directory or any other selfish purposes. I fully regret my doing even if it was due to ignorance at that time and not understanding how the pages of various companies were selected.

3) I clearly understand now that any article or news item even if it be true, to be considered by Wikipedia the subject must be notable and adhering to general notability guidelines.

I am highly embarrassed for my mistake that I made and I hope I will be pardoned. I have read and I will strictly follow the rules and regulations of this site and try to be an impartial contributor/editor. Please change my username to Jugnu2020 if it is acceptable.
