Julian Felsenburgh
Julian Felsenburgh, you are invited to the Teahouse
editHi Julian Felsenburgh! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
December 2012
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page DouayâRheims Bible has been reverted.
Your edit here to DouayâRheims Bible was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://hieronymopolis.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/vulgate-rhemes-challoner-appendix1.pdf) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 22:35, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

Hello and thanks
editI just had to drop by and say hello, and thanks for the excellent work you've been doing over the past few days. The links to online copies of the works are a really valuable addition to Wikipedia. I just noticed your edits in my watchlist, took a look at the changes, and felt I must express appreciation. —Ahnoneemoos (talk) 01:17, 1 January 2013 (UTC)- Julian, I noticed there are references for this guy in Swedish. Can you please add them to the article? Read WP:REFB on how to do that. Also, you need to add at least another sentence since single sentence articles tend to be deleted. —Ahnoneemoos (talk) 01:17, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

A page you started has been reviewed!
editThanks for creating F. Roger Devlin, Julian Felsenburgh!
Wikipedia editor Dictioneer just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
==Speedy deletion nomination of F. Roger Devlin==
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on F. Roger Devlin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. I endorse getting more political philosophers into WP, but single-sentence articles generally do not meet the criteria for notability, and external links don't count. Sorry, Dictioneer (talk) 01:06, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
To reply, leave a comment on Dictioneer's talk page.

Invitation to William Blake Task Force
editHello! I wanted to invite you to the new William Blake Task Force. This new task force will help organizes and coordinates Wikipedia's coverage of Romantic poet and artist William Blake. In Fall 2013, I, User:Sadads, will be having a WP:GLAM internship with The William Blake Archive, and has started the project to organize and support efforts to improve content related to William Blake, the collection of The William Blake Archive and other topics related to Blake's contributions to both literary and visual culture. Some of your previous contributions indicate an interest in Blake, so I wanted to invite you to the project! Hope you join us and happy editing! Sadads (talk) 19:18, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

"Further reading" section in Anthony Trollope
editI notice that you've recently added a great many works to the "Further reading" section in the Anthony Trollope article.
Unfortunately, the number of works listed seems to go well beyond the "reasonable number" stipulated at WP:FURTHER. The section isn't intended to be a complete bibliography of works on every aspect of Trollope. A number of the articles you've included, while they look interesting, are rather narrowly focused-- I'm looking at, for instance, King (1980) and Coyle (1952).
Could I suggest that you go through and pare the list to no more than a dozen general works on Trollope? This seems consistent with the spirit of WP:FURTHER, and with the proposed expansion of that policy at WP:Further reading. Thanks. Ammodramus (talk) 16:44, 2 October 2013 (UTC)
Welcome aboard
editHi, Julian,
I see you've made some recent edits to articles on my watchlist. I don't know if you happened across my Intelligence Citations bibliography in user space, but as we share editing interests and you have found some interesting sources to add to articles, I thought I would mention the bibliography to you in case it is useful for your further editing. I'd be glad to hear your suggestions of other sources to add to the bibliography. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 03:39, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages
editThank you for your recent articles, including Reuben Parsons (priest), which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. This can help you too, as the WikiProject members will often defend your work from deletion and try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Thomas F. Bertonneau has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Uncited BLP, tagged as such since 2014. Wrote extensively in fringe and far-right sources, but coverage of the subject in WP:RSes seems limited to an obituary in his local newspaper. I can't find evidence he passes WP:NPROF, WP:NEXPERT, WP:GNG or any other notability criterion. I'd be happy to be shown wrong, but it would have to be shown with independent third-party RS coverage.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. David Gerard (talk) 19:49, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
