Hello, I'm Barek. I noticed that you made a change to an article, List of Gilligan's Island characters, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 04:43, 28 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did to Gilligan's Island, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 04:44, 28 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Gilligan (Gilligan's Island). This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 04:45, 28 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Gilligan

edit

As I stated when you asked on my talk page - this claim appears highly dubious. I can find no third-party mention of your claim anywhere. For a TV program as well known as Gilligan's Island, this seems highly unlikely.

Please also see WP:BRD, which explains the normal editing cycle on Wikipedia. If content is reverted, the appropriate action is to go to the article talk page and discuss the edit with other editors. Perhaps someone else can locate a source that will resolve the issue. However, edit warring over content that does not appear to have any confirmation other than your claim is likely to result in your account being blocked, which is not a good result for anyone.

A discussion on the talk page may take days or even weeks - but Wikipedia is not on a timeline, there's no immediate rush to insert unsupported trivia. Please get consensus before restoring the content. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 16:16, 28 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
