Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Help a Reporter Out has been reverted.
Your edit here to Help a Reporter Out was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://twitter.com/https://twitter.com/helpareporter) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 16:24, 7 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Some tips about writing about topics you are close to

edit

Hello, Jwein101, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your question at the Village Pump, and hopefully you'll get an answer to it there. I just wanted to point out something about Wikipedia policy concerning people who write about themselves, family, workplace, or other topics they are close to. This is a potential conflict of interest, and there is a standard message about this with lots of useful links in it, so rather than my trying to remember all the points about COI policy, let me add the standard message below. If you have any questions about it, please don't hestitate to contact me! Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 19:56, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, Jwein101. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:MaestroVision, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Mathglot (talk) 19:56, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Jwein101

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Jwein101, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Jwein101 (talk) 21:38, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

We're just stating facts about the history of the company and its products. Please state specifically what you want me to remove that you consider "biased".

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (I just published the first draft because I don't know how to save my page. There is much more to add to the page and more encyclopedic content that relates to the broadcasting industry. Please don't delete my page, as it is unfinished. Also, can you please tell me how to save a draft?) --Jwein101 (talk) 21:45, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Concern regarding Draft:MaestroVision

edit

  Hello, Jwein101. This is a bot-delivered message letting you know that Draft:MaestroVision, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 5 months. Draft space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for article space.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion under CSD G13. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. You may request userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available here.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. FireflyBot (talk) 21:01, 9 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:MaestroVision

edit
