editBrownHairedGirl didn't revert your edit. Your edit was reverted by another editor. The edit summary on that says the reversion was back to the last version of the page as edited by BrownHairedGirl. The edit summary also mentions 'spam'.
While you mention "completely factual", consider how many people that can be said of. If every one current and past was mentioned within the subject article, the subject would be submerged by the number of claims to notability. WP can not be just a paste board for advertisements or mere mentions unsupported by third party sources. That is, the rules are that books/reviews/newspapers/etc have to have established that a person is preeminent within a particular field before we can then decide whether the person has had such a substantial effect upon the subject that they warrant mention in the subject article. Existence is not enough, notability is required. Shenme (talk) 01:30, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
- Regarding Pictorial maps :
- The 'notes' say "Vsmith (talk | contribs) (Reverted to revision 906094450 by BrownHairedGirl (talk): Remove spam (TW))"
- It does not say "Reverted by BrownHairedGirl", it says "Reverted to revision 906094450 by BrownHairedGirl".
- That is, the editor named 'Vsmith' changed the article back to the version of the page before your change, and the version before your change was previously edited by BrownHairedGirl. BrownHairedGirl did not revert your edit - another editor did - which I said above.
- That BrownHairedGirl is also trying to explain to you that Wikipedia can't accept additions merely on personal opinion ought to catch your eye. That is now three different people saying you will have to come up with reliable sources for this person's eminence in this subject. Please think about this. - You said on BHG's page that you were writing about your girlfriend. Do not do so. See WP:Conflict of interest. Thanks. PamD 06:29, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
Conflict of Interest
editHello, Jwsapp. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Pictorial map, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 17:13, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
