editIn order to encourage more participation, and to help people find a specific area in which they are more able to help out, we have organized taskforces at WikiProject Japan. Please visit the Participants page and update the list with the taskforces in which you wish to participate. Links to all the taskforces are found at the top of the list of participants.

Your recent edits
editHi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 12:15, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Emishi1324.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Emishi1324.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 16:10, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I was reading today the Nanbokucho article and I noticed you sometimes start a sentence with "I will now proceed" or "I will describe". I wonder if using the first person in this cases is appropriate. Wikipedia articles are not signed, but part of a public encyclopedia. See Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#First-person_pronouns
An impersonal approach is necessary. I took the liberty of removing some instances. Otherwise, good work, well done. Thanks. urashimataro (talk) 05:30, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Emishi Image
editGreetings K.H. I was just wondering where it was that you located the Emishi image (as in, from what scroll or document is it). Also, do you have a translation for the text below it? Feel free to e-mail your response. I appreciate it. RCheney (talk) 16:36, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Emishi1324.jpg

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
editHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:56, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
Hello K.H., in the german Wikipedia an IP claims that the image does not show Emishi but Ainu. Unfortunately i have no access to the "Ainu to kodai Nippon", so that i can not prove it. Because you uploaded the file, can you please tell, where your information comes from? Wolf170278 (talk) 13:14, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hey what's going on? You are editing here every day but find no time to say something helpful??? Wolf170278 (talk) 18:17, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
