Edit-warring on Charles B. Hall
editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
I have already explained to you on Talk:Charles B. Hall at 02:56 today that photos of his children that do not feature him are irrelevant should not be included on the page. However despite this, by this edit at 03:51: [1] you again reinstated the photos with the comment "I have added two photos of his two biological daughters, as was requested by Charles B. Hall's oldest daughter Peggy Hall ,in the section regarding his marriages and family, showing what his daughters look like, these are her photos and she wants them uploaded on her fathers page." As already explained to you Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a blog, Web hosting service, social networking service, or memorial site. We do not care that Peggy Hall wants her picture on the page. If you revert this again I will have to take steps to have you blocked as WP:NOTHERE. Mztourist (talk) 06:33, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
Regarding Charles B.Hall
editTo MzTourist, I just want to verify the understanding that I got, since the section is talking about Mr.Hall's family and marriages and children, I was under the impression that you could add a picture of his children it was a simple as that, so I had a misunderstanding as to what you could put down, but also to clarify when you took the photo down yesterday you didn't explain why the photo should be taken down, you simply messaged and said "don't add photos of his children on here." And that's confusing because I thought that section was about him and his family not some random person, and since this was concerning him and his family history I just thought that it was ok to add a picture, and his daughter wanted that since this was her father, she wanted the photo's on there, and you said you all didn't care what his daughter wanted, that shouldn't have been said, that's insulting especially when someone doesn't know what you can and can't put on there, that's why a simple explanation to let a person know what they can and can't do is very helpful, I'm not trying to cause a problem, not at all, we were just trying to put down what his daughter and I thought was ok to do, not trying to get smart or have an attitude, that's not the kind of people we are, we like to handle things in a respectful way, and besides all of this is new to us, so I'm sorry if you took this the wrong way by us not understanding what you can do on the page, thank you for your info, have a good day. - Hall is the only page that you have editted and you seem to be too involved with Hall's family to take an objective view on this. If you want to contribute to Wikipedia you need to familiarise yourself with what Wikipedia is and isn't. Wikipedia is not a memorial site, we do not include photos of people just because they would like their picture on their father's page. Mztourist (talk) 17:09, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
