  Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "KENGRIFFEY24", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it is that of a notable person. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 15:48, 5 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

I assume that you are not Ken Griffey; however your username suggests that you could be. I would suggest simply changing your name to add "fan" to the end which will remove such ambiguity. 331dot (talk) 15:49, 5 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Danny Murphy (actor, born 2003/2004). With Hill and Patterson's numbers on their own pages, it seemed appropriate to put the numbers on. Before you commented you should have looked at THIER pages first.

If you have a citation saying that the Patriots have assigned these numbers to them, or even that they claim the Patriots have assigned these numbers to them, that will suffice. Just arbitrarily changing the numbers is not acceptable. Last I checked, Hill had a number 33 on his page, but did not say that the Patriots had assigned him that number - and, HE doesn't get to make that decision. I assume there is something similar with Patterson? Tarl N. (discuss) 00:37, 22 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Secondary comment - if someone objects to you making an uncited change, then CITE the change (it would have been even better if you specified that in the edit comment to begin with). That means specify the change so someone else can find it. Just making a vague reference to "their own pages" is not a citation. I don't keep track of every individual player's web pages, instagram and twitter IDs. Tarl N. (discuss) 00:39, 22 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Denver Nuggets Logo 2018-present.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:08, 7 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Celtics–Lakers rivalry, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Speedy deletion nomination of LosPollosTV

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on LosPollosTV requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/LosPollosTV. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

Proposed deletion of EDP445

edit

The article EDP445 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No signs of sufficient notability per WP:BIO nor per WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.   Hello, I'm Esolo5002. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, The Pat McAfee Show, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Esolo5002 (talk) 22:19, 7 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Shohei Ohtani. Thank you. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 04:13, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Do I have to get a copy of every player's contract and cite it in MLA format High and Mighty Wikipedia Editor? Every year I do this and someone like you gets really upset. KENGRIFFEY24FAN

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for refusal to follow WP:V.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Galobtter (talk) 04:39, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry, but you have to provide an inline citation to a reliable source when making changes to a WP:BLP. You should also not attack editors for warning you, like you did above and at WP:AN. Galobtter (talk) 04:42, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Other admins feel free to unblock if they commit to following WP:V and WP:BLP. Galobtter (talk) 04:43, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oh and you shouldn't vandalize an article even if you revert in the next edit. Galobtter (talk) 04:46, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Request reason:

I promise to follow WP:V and WP:BLP in the future. I also want to apologize to TechnoSquirrel69 for disruptive editing and getting into an edit war. Sincerely, ~~KENGRIFFEY24FAN~~

Accept reason:

I am unblocking you on the basis you will follow WP:V and WP:BLP from now on. If you do not, the block will be reinstated, and next time an unblock will not be so easy. PhilKnight (talk) 09:06, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Special:Diff/1183805546. KENGRIFFEY24FAN, there is no content in the article that supports this change. You just got blocked over this; please stop. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 20:40, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

This string of three edits is unsourced, even though you put a tweet in an edit summary. The reference needs to go IN the article in prose. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:20, 9 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

If I put the tweet in the article, it's going to get reverted and get called "not a reliable source". I was going to to back and put the press release in but I had to do something else. This is seen here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Ymblanter&diff=next&oldid=1176034525 KENGRIFFEY24FAN (talk) 01:41, 9 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

If we can get all of these people that hawk these pages and get them to come to a consensus on NOT REVERTING EDITS that have a tweet from an OFFICIAL ACCOUNT, then I can put it in the fucking edit. KENGRIFFEY24FAN (talk)

CS1 error on WrestleMania XL

edit

  Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page WrestleMania XL, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 01:44, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Only warning: please don't make edits like this. Given your history of warnings and previous blocks, you're risking another indefinite block by making them, which will be harder to appeal than the last. If you really want a meme screenshot, just use "show preview" instead. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 06:22, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
