Bongo, I apologize, I did not see the request to go to the talk page before I was trying to rework the article to comply with the tags. I am a "new" editor, this page being my only real effort so far. I have tried to address the issues. This page was certainly not intended to be an ad. I created the page about 18 months ago because I have followed Mr Kniffen's career in the investment and retail worlds for many years and I was surprised that given the pages and pages and pages of references to him on the web that there was not a Wiki page, especially considering that he is a legend in the industry. I have had a lot of help with this page from "Good Samaritan's" over the time it has been up to make it a better page. If you will give me additional input I will continue to develop additional references, citations, etc and strengthen the page. Thanks for the help.
Please do not remove the tags from the above-captioned article without addressing the issues and requesting feedback on the article's talk page. Thank you, Bongomatic 01:48, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
Warning on multiple accounts
editGoing forward, remember that editors are generally restricted to one account. To that end, your other account, Catmandone, has been blocked. If you continue to edit using multiple accounts to edit war, you will be blocked from editing. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 00:18, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
Anyong, I am not using two accounts. I asked Catmandone to open an account and take a shot at editing "Jan Rogers Kniffen" because I was having a hard time getting the page (which I created 18 months ago) right. Catmandone cannot have abused editing on multiple accounts, as he has only ever tried to edit the one entry, so far at least. Further, I created the page "Jan Rogers Kniffen" for two reasons, 1) I think that he is well recognized and notable in the world of retail, 2) I wanted to try my hand at creating and editing in the electronic environment. I have only edited in the hard copy world up to now. I am working diligently (in my spare time) to improve my editing knowledge and the page I created. Thanks for your time.
I need some help here. I created the " jan Rogers Kniffen" page. It is my first page creation. I have tried to add in Mr. Kniffen's expert commentary work on CNBC, Fox Business, BNN and CBC in order to help establish notability. But, I was told that Media was "vanispampuffery" whatever that is. But, when I look at other notable people in Wiki (like the Erin Burnett page), it is all about CNBC and CNN. What am I doing wrong?KLM3618 (talk) 20:00, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
