Welcome
editHey there, Kahlfin~enwiki. Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you enjoy being a Wikipedian and decide to stay! Here are a few good links for newcomers (or "oldcomers" for reference):
By the way, you should sign and date your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. Three tildes (~~~) produces just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!
Great, just what we need around this place... more dolphin-rhyming names. :) Cheers. --LV (Dark Mark) 21:05, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
A revised version of the proposed policy against censorship is now open for voting. Will you kindly review the policy and make your opinions known? Thank you very much.Loom91 10:00, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
Flashbacks
editTV.com says that the next three episodes are Eko-centric, Michael-centric, and Desmond-centric. I did cite them in my edit summary.- JustPhil 19:00, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- TV.com isn't considered an official source, as according to the policy concerning future episodes. Please remove them. --Kahlfin 19:04, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
VIE and VINE
editI'd like to thank you for pointing VIE out to me. I don't agree with the idea that voting is evil, and so I created WP:VINE, a counterpoint essay on the proper use of voting. I realize, having drawn up an actual, tangible set of rules for myself, that while voting really isn't evil, it isn't always right, either. Thanks for pointing that out to me. -Litefantastic 20:25, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- Interesting essay. You bring up some good points, and I'm beginning to agree with you. --Kahlfin 23:51, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- I try :) -Litefantastic 00:25, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Request for Mediation
editA request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/List of Lost Episodes, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible.
Hey, Kahlfin. Thanks for your note about the mediation. Yes, I'm fine being an involved party. I was originally on the list, and then Wikipedical took me off, and despite my questioning him as to why, he didn't add me back. Perhaps just an oversight. I don't hold out a lot of promise for the mediation resolving things, somehow, but I haven't experienced it. -- PKtm 20:35, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Your Request for Mediation
editHello, Kahlfin
My name is ^demon, and I am going to mediate the case that you requested concerning the episodes of Lost. Right now, before we continue, I would like to know if you prefer public or private mediation. If you could just let me know over at your request for mediation, I would be most grateful. Have a pleasant evening.
Regards,
^demon[yell at me][ubx_war_sux] /02:52, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Beginning Mediation
editDear Kahlfin,
After requesting the preference of mediation, the consensus appears to be public, with one person not responding (and has appeared to have left the project for the time being), and one person abstaining due to being away for the summer. This being decided, let us begin. I figure the easiest place to centralize all discussion can be the talk page of the RfM. Thanks for your time, and if you'll go there now, you'll see that I've begun a discussion on the topic. Thanks very much.
Episode vs. season articles: your view
editHey, I've noticed that you've stayed out of the more recent discussion, largely, on episode articles vs. season articles Wikipedia talk:Requests for mediation/Lost episodes. Am I truly, as Elonka states, the last holdout? I'd appreciate anything you have to contribute, either on this page or to me on my talk page. Right now, I'm "going it alone", which is never all that fun. I'm leaving a similar note on LeFlyman's and Jtrost's talk pages. Just wondering if you two have changed your view, or gotten weary of the struggle, or what. Thanks. -- PKtm 20:57, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
Lost mediation
edit- I too would like to offer my thanks for your participation in the mediation. It's my hope that we'll now all be able to put our differences behind us, and work together towards our common goal of providing high-quality Lost articles on Wikipedia. And I'm excitedly looking forward to our having a front page featured article on Monday! :) --Elonka 21:12, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Hey Kahlfin, I just nominated List of Lost episodes for Featured List status again and was hoping you could support or comment on the nomination at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Lost episodes. Thanks. -- Wikipedical 07:21, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Kahlfin. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Kahlfin~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
