Join State House of Assembly Elections in Nigeria Contest
You're specially invited to join the State House of Assembly Elections in Nigeria Contest from 6 December 2021 to 6 January 2022.
This new project will be created to explicitly reassure and inspire experienced and new wikipedia editors to create articles on state house of assembly elections in all the 36 states of Nigeria. Starting from 1979, 1983, 1992, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019, Nigeria has conducted state house of assembly elections. But, none of these articles exist on Wikipedia and this new project will seek to categorically solve this problem once and for all.
Sign up for this contest by listing your username under the participants section.
The following prizes will be awarded at the end of the contest.

Kola Adesina moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Kola Adesina, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Celestina007 (talk) 20:35, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
COI DISCUSSION
Please note that I have sent the article Kola Adesina to Draft:Kola Adesina due to what I believe to be an WP:APPARENTCOI please can you be so kind as to explain to me why you are creating a Resumé looking article on a non notable individual and using unreliable pieces, press releases and other questionable sources for WP:V, purposes? Whilst I’m still reviewing your recent articles, I am seeing you create decent articles with decent sources as far back as two years ago, so please may you be so gracious & explain to me how you have demonstrated satisfactory knowledge on how sourcing in the past but have chosen to use WP:QS for this very article? Care to comment? Furthermore, you are advised to pass this through AFC, but this isn’t mandatory and you can move the article to mainspace unilaterally but you have to discuss on the motion I raised at the commencement of this dialogue. Celestina007 (talk) 20:46, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
Could you be so gracious as to explain why you are creating promotional articles for non notable businessmen?
The title is pretty much the question, may I ask why you keep on creating non notable articles on entrepreneurs? I have asked you this in the past but you refused to respond, Please cease and desist from creating non notable promotional articles into main-space, Honestly stop, believe me please stop forthwith. Celestina007 (talk) 21:24, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
- You can choose to cast aspersions against me or Timtrent but I promise you it wouldn’t work nor any antic, and most imperatively when all this is over there wouldn't be any atom of possible promotional articles on non notable from you or anyone else left on mainspace. Celestina007 (talk) 14:58, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Celestina007: please read our policy on civility. You have been warned and advised by multiple editors to refrain from directing personal attack to editors and moderate your tone in discussions. I am not under any obligation to respond to abrasive and disrespectful comment from you. And please do not post about articles on my talk page again. The appropriate venue for that is the article talk page. Kaizenify (talk) 15:25, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Okay. Before I go let it be on record that I never said anything disrespectful or anything alluding to a WP:PA but this is being used against me strategically as Dennis Brown predicted. Celestina007 (talk) 15:30, 8 April 2022 (UTC)

Hello Kaizenify. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Kaizenify. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Kaizenify|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 22:40, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
April 2022
As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Kaizenify, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Kaizenify|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 14:53, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
Paid editing
There does seem to be pretty solid circumstantial evidence that you are involved in editing for some kind of compensation, or at the very least, with a conflict of interest. Do you have anything to disclose or say about this? Before I draw a conclusion, I'd like to hear your side. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 16:06, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, @Dennis Brown:. I have never been compensated for any contribution to the English Wikipedia or any other languages Wikipedia and I do not intend to get paid for any contributions in the future. I am fully aware that UPE violates the English Wikipedia policy and the WMF site's Term of Use. I have been around for more than 5 years editing on less controversial topics such as biographies of Notable Nigerians. I cannot deny that some of my articles have been suboptimal partly because I am an inclusionist trying to increase content relating to Nigeria; I think it’s high time I raise the bar. Please let me know if you require additional information. Kaizenify (talk) 16:31, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Per this, and concerns raised previously, I have removed your event coordinator user right. I will be happy to reinstate it once everything has been cleared up ~TNT (talk • she/her) 19:23, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Kaizenify, adding subpar articles that are going to be deleted does not help Wikipedia or Nigeria. It does cause extra work. If you really want to add more articles about Nigeria, you would think there are plenty of articles to be written about geography, geology, historic figures, government, architecture, and more. Instead of writing about dubious business people who are simply not notable and their articles have 0% chance of staying here. You are not only wasting your time, but my time, and TNT's time, and other's time who are having to come behind you, and now monitor all your edits because your track record is rather bad, as of late. This is not how you improve the encyclopedia, which is why I asked you if you are getting paid. If you want to "raise the bar", you need to first raise the bar in what you consider "notable", because you keep banging your head on it, it seems. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 19:28, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you Dennis Brown; It looks like biographies of living persons are much more controversial than I thought. I would take a break from this area and focus more on other areas as suggested relating to Nigeria. Regards. Kaizenify (talk) 20:01, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Biographies are the most controversial articles we have. Not only do they have real world consequences for the subject, but they are the most commonly created for spam purposes. They are a mine field for the uninitiated. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 20:09, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Dennis Brown It interests me that you received a response you your enquiry, yet I received absolutely no response to levels 1 and 2 formal requests for a declaration of whether not not paid editing was being undertaken, above. Assuming good faith, I accept the declaration made above, as I am bound to do.
- However, the quality of the sudden biographical article influx is stretching my good faith, as has the lack of answer to my own formal questions. I understand the argument put forward that they are in aid of increasing coverage of Nigeria and Nigerians, and yet the quality of those articles is entirely reminiscent of the cruft that paid editors place here. Further stretching has occurred with their odd and forceful (a mild adjective, one that may easily be replaced by stronger adjectives) comments to Celestina007 here and on their own talk page.
- So thank you for asking the question separately from my own (unanswered and ignored) enquiries 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 12:50, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Timtrent, I think it is entirely reasonable to assume good faith, yet monitor with a skeptical eye, which is where I am at. Admittedly, admin like myself are more likely to get responses than non-admin editors, for better or worse, which is why we try to get involved early in the process, to flush out answers. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 12:59, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Timtrent; I have been around for more than 5 years. So, I am aware of our policy on undisclosed paid editing. If you have a question, why not ask me your question directly instead of sending me a template warning? It wasn't my intention to ignore you and I apologize but personal message tends to work better in these situations. It also amazed me how you often respond to canvassing from Celestina007, even though you are fully aware that such practice is inappropriate. Kaizenify (talk) 13:53, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- That was a question, and a formal one. Your job was to answer it promptly. These templates are not to be ignored.
- Every Wikipedian with an unusual editing pattern can expect to be asked these questions. They are a normal part of editing on Wikipedia. Time served is no indication of good conduct. My good faith is stretched and my eye is skeptical as Dennis Brown's is, and my antennae are twitching.
- I've been wrong before, I will be wrong again. Right now I am also monitoring.
- As for your accusation, you may be assured that I will answer it if you ever make it formal. Please do so.
- Meanwhile know that I do not respond to bombast. Bombast has one effect, it stretches my good faith even thinner. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 14:06, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
