New submission with references
editHi everybody,
First of all, thank you for your proofreading! I just submitted a new version of this page, I hope a better one than before :-) Previously, I could not receive emails from Wikipedia so I missed some of the comments, sorry for that... I think that the importance of this software is underrated, I added some references to the page to show it.
I did a little research over similar software :
Without wikipedia page (lower rank is better): https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/code-aster.org 295,205
With wikipedia page (lower rank is better): https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/calculix.de 2,031,125 https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/agros2d.org 3,320,518 https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/dealii.org 818,615 https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/dune-project.org 2,839,859 https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/febio.org 857,976 https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/fenicsproject.org 318,611 https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/freefem.org 1,041,006 https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/conself.com 2,262,934 https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/code-saturne.org 1,221,661 https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/z88.de 3,830,442
I also checked the language distribution and the manager of the Code_Aster for Windows site provided this ranking of countries by number of users:
1) France (as expected) 2) Italy 3) Japan 4) Germany 5) United States 6) United Kingdom 7) India 8) Spain 9) Canada 10) Brazil 11) South Korea 12) Russia ... 132) Togo
As one can see, English speaking countries are well represented. The Code_Aster for Windows is an English only site and Code_Aster has been translated to English, so I think that it should not be considered a local software at all,
I hope this helps, please tell me if I should do more,
Best regards
