Comments & suggestions on Victoria Howard
editFirst thing to say is, the referencing by way of footnote citations looks very good, with every material statement supported by a source — well done! :) Admittedly the sources still number only three, which isn't that many (and if you can find more, please do add them), but it's certainly better than being based on just a single source.
Some ways in which you could consider improving this further include:
- When you're citing the same source multiple times, it's better to use named references, that keeps the list of references shorter and makes it easier to see how many, and what, sources have been cited. See WP:NAMEDREFS.
- The direct quotations, such as Henry Zenk from Oregon Encyclopedia also states thats "Victoria died of heart failure" don't need to be attributed to a person in that way; you can just say Victoria Howard died of cardiac failure and cite the source as you've done elsewhere.
- Please avoid using words like 'amazing', as they're considered WP:Peacock terms.
- The first instance of the person's name should use the full name (first and last); afterwards, call them by their last name, unless the context requires full name for clarity, but never just by their first name.
As for layout and formatting, please do the following before publishing:
- Add outgoing 'wikilinks' like this: Oregon. If you can, please also add incoming links (from other articles to this), so that your article can be more easily found by users.
- At the very end of your article where you have the <references /> template — just above it, add the corresponding section header (==References==) to create a separate section for the refs.
- Bold the first use of the name, at the start of the lead paragraph, and generally follow the WP:LEAD guidelines.
(The 'meta' stuff like categories, short description, default sort tag, etc. can be added after publishing.)
Happy to take another look once you've done that, if you'd like.
