Proposed deletion of Imprisonment of the Twelve Bishops
editThe article Imprisonment of the Twelve Bishops has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- obviously non-notable - gets an entire two google hits, one of which is Wikipedia
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ironholds (talk) 07:45, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- You will no doubt be pleased to learn that the proposal to delete has now been contested, so that, unless it is proposed again, the deletion will not take place. JamesBWatson (talk) 20:14, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- On re-examining this topic, I saw that it fitted within the Clergy Act 1640, between the Act passing the lower house and its approval by the upper. I have therefore merged it therein. I hope I have maintained a proper sense of historical sequence, though I couldn't prevent it becoming somewhat wordy. Katbun (talk) 21:05, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- Incidentally, within Clergy Act 1640, I wanted to link 'distraint of knighthood' to its mention under the subheading 'Economic problems' in the article Charles I of England. Is there a way you can link directly to that subheading? Katbun (talk) 21:05, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
I have some ideas on how to develop this. If you are still checking your Wikipedia account, and would be interested in my suggestions, please respond. (Either post an answer below this, or write on my talkpage.) BrainyBabe (talk) 17:44, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
