3 Revert Policy

I am sorry to spring this warning on you because I understand your edits to Manchester have been in good faith. The whole second city debate is a source of constant irritation and editors generally use the talk page to discuss changes to its phrasing. You are quite right in saying other cities have claims to second city status (after all this time, I am more confused what second city status is, more than a purely metaphysical concept???) However the citation clearly refers to BIrMINGham, and so in line with style guide the proceeding subject shouldn't be changed. You have broke WP:3RR today and I am sure it is a genuine mistake. Can you please discuss alterations to 2nd 3rd 4th city status on the Talk:Manchester page, before altering copy. Kind regards, Mike33 - t@lk 19:29, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
